One of the firm's founding partners, Mrs. Elizabeth Burk, was a serious art collector and patron of the arts, who served as a trustee of New York's–The Metropolitan Museum of Art and helped to found the Fellows of Contemporary Art, a non-profit organization active in promoting contemporary artists. 

Elizabeth's collection was gifted to The University Art Museum at California State University, in Long Beach. The notable and distinctly personal collection features eighty-eight art works by forty-three artists, including signature works by such artists as Al Held, Michael Goldberg, and Adolph Gottlieb.
